All of our puppies are raised in our home along with our own dogs. No kennel raised puppies here. They come from Canadian Kennel Club and/or American Kennel Club Championship Bloodlines.
Our Health Testing includes X-rays to rule out Hip/Elbow Dysplasia, DNA testing for Von Willebrand's Disease (vWD), Neonatal Encephalophathy (NE),and Degenerative Myelopothy (DM), they have CERF Eye Screening done, and bloodwork done for a Thyroid Panel. We do not test for Sebacious Addenitis as results are inconclusive, and can only be accurate if done during an exacerbation of the disease. We have had none to date.
Our goal is to produce Healthy Puppies, of Sound Temperament, with great Structure, suitable for Show, Performance, Pet Homes and/or amazing Therapy Work.
We put huge efforts into Socialization, and Sound
De-Sensitization of our puppies, allowing them a great start going out into this great big world.
We breed Silver Standard Poodle Puppies. They are black at birth, and clear to a shade of silver over a couple of years. We acknowledge that there are many shades of silver, from Platinum to a Light Charcoal.
To date we have done long tail docking, and have removed dew claws, however, with the changes in Legislation, and Public Perception, we are considering a move to undocked tails and intact dew claws.
